The Sheffield Hammer Multi Tool has an interesting design that combines a hammer and pliers into a single tool. The hammer head and nail puller are actually on either side of the pliers. It gives you 14 different tools, including:

The body is made from stainless steel with attractive wood handles. You can lock the pliers closed with a swinging latch when you need to use the hammer. We found it to be a useful size and weight and fully capable of hammering in small to medium nails.
The nail puller on the back worked just as advertised and all the screwdrivers were adequate.
We’ll be honest, the quality of the tools on this hammer multi tool isn’t spectacular. Given its extremely low price you shouldn’t expect more. That being said you can still get a good bit of use out of it as long as you don’t expect it to perform miracles.

We really liked that Off Grid Tools included both a hatchet and a hammer in a single tool. These are two extremely useful tools to have in any serious situation. The fold out saw is another really nice touch. It can be removed quickly when worn out and gives you the ability to quickly power through branches or boards.

The Hunny Doo Tools Multi Tool is a real jack of all trades product. It combines several of the most commonly needed household tools into a single multi tool. It gives you more than 10 different tools, including:

The Hunny Doo is built for basic repair and maintenance tasks. It gives you a little bit of everything and fulfills a lot of different roles. The hammer itself lacks a nail puller but does a great job at driving nails and other hammering tasks.
Where you’d expect the nail puller on a claw hammer Hunny Doo put an adjustable wrench. This lets you apply more torque than possible with the pliers at the other end. We really liked that they included a bit driver instead of standard screwdrivers.
It’s located on top of the hammer and has a small magnet within to hold the bits in place. The only complaint we had about this placement was the presence of the hammer. It gives it a really wide profile that catches on any obstruction.
Both the main knife and the saw came sharp and did a good job cutting through different materials. Overall the Hunny Doo Multi Tool Hammer is a reasonably well made product that’s perfect to keep in your car, your house, or wherever you need basic tools.

The hammer itself has a classic rounded shape and is located on one side of the plier assembly. On the other side is the small axe blade. Don’t expect to do any serious chopping with this axe. It’ll split kindling and shave down wood but not much more than that.
The pliers are kind of odd looking to be honest. They have a completely flat geometry at the top before curving down into a regular pair. You can lock them closed when not in use and open the other tools up.
The remaining tools are all fully functional though not exceptional. The knife blade is made from cheaper steel but will hold a decent edge. We found the screwdrivers to work well for basic tasks around the house or in your car. The saw was great for cutting through small branches while at a campsite or thinner boards in your workshop.
The Stansport Emergency Camper’s Multi Tool definitely isn’t the best multi tool around. Despite this it does provide excellent value for its price and is actually quite useful for limited tasks.
Gentlemen’s Hardware Hammer Multi Tool
The Hammer Multi Tool from Gentleman’s Hardware is a miniature tool kit contained in a hammer. It uses an interesting nested design to hide 4 different screwdrivers in the handle of a 7.5 inch long hammer. It has 6 different tools in total, including:

The hammer itself is on the small side but is great for hanging things, light wood working, or banging something into shape. The nail puller is well suited for removing painting or poster tacks and small nails.
The handle of the hammer is where things get really interesting. There are 4 differently sized screwdrivers screwed within. To pull them out you simply unscrew the bottom cap and let them slip down.

The hammer in particular is great for knocking in tent stakes and breaking up small chunks of wood or rock. Its textured end makes it less useful for repair tasks such as hammering in a nail but it fits well with its wilderness focus.
The more traditional tools show all the marks of Leatherman’s attention to detail and quality workmanship. Everything is well made, smooth, and beautiful to look at.

Like the Signal the MUT is a more specialized multi tool. We’ll be frank, if you don’t frequently find yourself shooting AR15 rifles it probably isn’t the tool for you. If you do though it gives you a lot of really useful tools and features.
About a quarter of the total tool loadout is just for AR15’s. These include the disassembly punch, bolt override tool, carbon scraper, and cleaning rod port. With these you can field strip and clean your rifle in minutes.
The included hammer is built into the bottom of one handle and has an aggressive texture to it. This makes it great for pounding into stuck items or knocking things loose. It doesn’t work as well for the basic home maintenance tasks but then that wasn’t what it was designed for.
The MUT is a big, heavy duty tool for big, heavy duty needs. It’s made from quality steel to Leatherman’s exacting standards. If you’re looking for a great tool to throw in your range bag or take out into the field it’s hard to go wrong with the Leatherman MUT.

SOG Camping Hatchet/Hammer Combo Tool
The SOG Camping Hatchet is a useful little tool with two sides to it. On one end is a 3.1 inch hatchet blade while on the other is a flat style hammer head. The hatchet is just 11.1 inches long yet gives you a lot of value.
The axe portion of it is great for splitting kindling, basic carving tasks, and shaving wood down to start a fire. It’s easy to swing and control, weighing just over a pound.
If you flip it around you’ll find the hammer perfect for pounding in tent stakes and other hammering tasks. The glass reinforced nylon handle gives you a ton of strength and has a nice textured grip. SOG also includes a hard plastic axe sheath to cover the blade when it’s not in use.
Zune Lotoo Annihilate Tactical Shovel
The Zune Lotoo Annihilate Tactical Shovel is a jam packed tool that fulfills most of your tool needs while out in the field. It’s made from high carbon steel and uses a screw off handle design to conceal all the various tools. When fully assembled it’s just under 30 inches long. It has over 10 different tools inside it, including:

The hammer part of this multi tool isn’t obvious at first. The manufacturer basically advises that you can flip the shovel around and pound down with it for light hammering tasks. We were skeptical at first but it actually does work reasonably well for most camping and survival hammer needs.
The handle is made from anodized aluminum and has several hidden compartments within it. If you unscrew all the way up to the shovel you’ll reveal the various other tools.
The fire starter did exactly as required and the knife/saw blade was surprisingly sharp. We really liked how loud the emergency whistle was as well. The camera stand is located on the base of the shovels handle and worked okay, though it was a bit shaky.
Overall the Zune Latoo Annihilate skirts the edge of what is and isn’t a hammer but wins out in the end. It’s sturdy, fun to mess around with, and actually quite useful out in the field.
Kikkerland Mini Keychain Hammer Multi Tool
If you’re looking for an ultra compact hammer the Kikkerland Mini Keychain Hammer Multi Tool is a definite contender. It’s just a few inches long and weighs under 2 ounces. Despite this it includes 6 different tools:

We’ll be straight with you. The hammer on this tool is more of an afterthought than a serious feature. It has the body of a standard sized pocket knife and attaches easily to your keys. How useful is a hammer this small?
Not very.
You definitely won’t be knocking in nail after nail with it. Like many other hammer multi tools the pliers are built right into the body of the hammer. They were a little tight at first and definitely needed to be worked in a bit.
The nail puller is only really good for pulling out hanging nails and other small pins. Like the hammer it’s just too small for much else.
We don’t want you to think we don’t like it though. It’s a really neat little tool that falls somewhere between novelty and truly useful. The other included tools work pretty well at that size. If you’ve ever carried a swiss army knife you’ll be familiar with them.
If you’re looking for a serious hammer tool for home maintenance this definitely isn’t it. For a cool keychain sized tool with an unusual tool loadout The Kikkerland Mini Keychain Hammer Multi Tool definitely deserves some consideration.
